Drosophila Myc regulates organ size by inducing cell competition
Article Abstract:
Drosophila organ size can be controlled by modulating dMyc levels to create cell competition and hid dependent cell death. dMyc when expressed in all cells of the wing disc overgrows but introduction of clones lacking dMyc leads to wings having normal size.

Taste representations in the Drosophila brain
Article Abstract:
The mapping of the features of taste location and taste quality in the fly brain is examined by using molecular, genetic and behavioral approaches. The taste quality and position are represented in anatomical projection patterns.

The molecular basis of odor coding in the Drosophila antenna
Article Abstract:
The functional analysis of the odorant receptor repertoire in the Drosophila antenna is discussed. The mutant ab3A neuron is used as a decoder to characterize the odor response spectrum of each receptor.
