Eclipsed distribution: a phenomenon of dual targeting of protein and its significance
Article Abstract:
The eclipsed distribution phenomenon is described and examples of dual targeting proteins, the mechanisms by which they can occur and the experimental approaches for exposing them are illustrated. It is shown that diseases can result from protein intracellular mislocalization and the awareness of the concept of protein-eclipsed distribution will help in identifying more cases of disease-related eclipsed distribution.

Androgen signaling and its interactions with other signaling pathways in prostate cancer
Article Abstract:
The major signaling pathways implicated in prostate cancer progression, their crosstalk with each other and with AR signaling are summarized with the focus on Androgen receptor (AR) function and AR-target genes. The complex network of interactions provides deep insight into prostate carcinogenesis and may form the basis of novel diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

To b or not to b: A pheromone-binding protein regulates colony social organization in fire ants
Article Abstract:
Variation in social organization in fire ant societies is associated with genotypes at the gene Gp-9. The single-queen colonies have only the B allelic variant of this gene, and multiple-queen colonies have the b variant as well.
