Formation of higher-order secondary and tertiary chromatin structures by genomic mouse mammary tumor virus promotes
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on isolated genomic mouse mammary tumor virus promoters. The authors have characterized these promoter via the use of agarose multigel electrophoresis, and they suggest that transcriptionally active eukaryotic promoters can function in locally folded chromatin environment in vivo.

Association of the RENT complex with nontranscribed and coding regions of rDNA and a regional requirement for the replication fork block protein Fob1 in rDNA silencing
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on rDNA silencing. The authors have investigated the mechanisms initiating silencing at rDNA via the mapping of subunits of the regulator of nucleolar silencing and telophase exit silencing complex, and they report the results.

Early-replicating heterochromatin
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on heterochromatin which replicates in late S phase. The authors have discovered that heterochromatic centromeres and silent mating-type casettes replicate in early S phase.
