Glycosylation in cellular mechanisms of health and disease
Article Abstract:
The involvement of mammalian glycans in the molecular and cellular mechanisms that control health and disease is highlighted. Research on the function of mammalian glycosylation demonstrates that glycans are involved in multiple disciplines spanning ontogeny, immunology, neurobiology, hematology and metabolism and are linked to a number of genetic diseases.

Identification of two proteins required for conjunction and regular segregation of achiasmate homologs in Drosophila male meiosis
Article Abstract:
The two meiotic proteins required for the process involving physical connections and not depending on recombination were identified. The results state that the proteins are mutually dependent on their colocalization and Mdg4 in meiosis (MNM) requires the function of teflon, another meiotic gene.

Centriolin anchoring of Exocyst and SNARE complexes at the midbody is required for secretory-vesicle-mediated abscission
Article Abstract:
The study is conducted to show that centriolin interacts with proteins of vesicle-targeting exocyst complexes and vesicle-fusion SNARE complexes. Centriolin anchors protein complexes required for vesicle targeting and fusion and integrates membrane-vesicle fusion with abscission.
