Hormonal changes during puberty and their relationship to fat distribution
Article Abstract:
Abdominal fat in adults is related to increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and stroke. These conditions begin with alterations in body fat distribution during childhood and adolescence. Few studies have been conducted on hormone-adiposity interactions during critical developmental periods of childhood and adolescence. An overly sensitive hormonal system may cause obesity.

Functions of corticotropin-releasing hormone in anthropoid primates: From brain to placenta
Article Abstract:
The function, expression and regulation of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) are discussed from an evolutionary perspective due to its uniqueness to the human evolutionary lineage. A clearer understanding of the differences in the patterns of placental CRH expression between monkeys and apes will aid in understanding its role in human pregnancy.
