Inbreeding depression in self-incompatible and self-compatible populations of Leavenworthia alabamica
Article Abstract:
The magnitude of inbreeding depression in self-incompatible and self-compatible populations of Leavenworthia alabamica is compared. Results indicate inbreeding depression in 8 of 11 offspring traits within self-incompatible populations whereas significant inbreeding depression was found only in flower number within self-compatible populations of L. alabamica.

Estimation of the rate and effects of deleterious genomic mutations in finite populations with linkage disequilibrium
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to characterize deleterious genomic mutations (DGM) in finite populations by testing the robustness and applicability of the Deng-Lynch method. The results indicate that the estimation obtained by the Deng-Lynch method in finite populations with linkage equilibrium (LD) is generally robust when population size is greater than 400.

Overdominant lethals as part of the conifer embryo lethal system
Article Abstract:
Molecular marker dissection studies revealed that the embryo lethal system is composed of semilethal factors dispersed across the genome but it is unclear whether overdominant lethal factors are rare or representative. A study to determine whether overdominance was rare for the embryo lethal system in conifers is presented.
