Longitudinal growth study of male Japanese junior high school athletes
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the pattern of growth in height among adolescent Japanese male athletes compared to controls. Results show small difference in growth patterns among athletes and nonathletes, suggesting that body size and maturation rate in the various athletes from this study were not selective factors.

This article examines sex differences in growth spurts among teenage Japanese boys and girls. Regression analysis included age at takeoff, height at takeoff, velocity takeoff, peak height takeoff, age at peak height takeoff and height at peak height takeoff.

Prediction of adult stature for Japanese population: a stepwise regression approach

This article discusses the longitudinal growth in stature of Japanese men and women as characterized from childhood to early adulthood. Growth parameters were used to predict adult stature.
