MOZ is essential for maintenance of hematopoietic cells
Article Abstract:
Monocytic leukemia zinc-finger protein (MOZ) is involved in the chromosome translocations associated with acute myeloid leukemia and it acts as a transcriptional coactivator for AML1 essential for establishment of hematopoiesis. MOZ is essential for hematopoietic cells and it can be seen from the experiments in which MOZ null mice died around embryonic day 15 and MOZ deficient liver cells could not reconstitute hematopoiesis of recipients after transplantation.

Requirement of clathrin heavy chain for p53-mediated transcription
Article Abstract:
It is reported that clathrin heavy chain (CHC) binds to p53 and contributes to p53-mediated transcription. It is found that CHC exists not only in cytosol but also in nuclei, and methods of CHC expression and binding show that nuclear CHC is required for the transactivation of p53 target genes and plays a distinct role from clathrin-mediated endocytosis.

TTP and BRF proteins nucleate processing body formation to silence micro-RNAs with AU-rich elements
Article Abstract:
A study presents evidence that proteins Tristetraprolin (TTP) and BRF-1 in human cells deliver adenine/uridine-rich elements and micro-ribonucleic acids (ARE-mRNAs) to processing bodies (PBs) to promote micro-ribonucleic acid decay. The PB functions as a reservoir that sequesters ARE-mRNAs from polysomes, thereby silencing ARE-mRNA function.
