Modeling stability and change in strength development: a study in adolescent boys
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to investigate stability and change in adolescent boys through strength development, by the use of sport sciences like physiology and exercise. 588 boys, subjects of this study, were used to test their strength factor. The models correspond to a variety of developmental phenomena like tracking, fanning-out effects, and latent growth.

Ancient origins of human developmental plasticity
Article Abstract:
A review of the underlying physiological basis for developmental plasticity as discovered through the study of experimental animals is presented. The impact of early life experiences on later phenotypic expression and the timing of life history transitions, two aspects of developmental plasticity, are addressed.

Grandmothers and the evolution of human longevity
Article Abstract:
A grandmother hypothesis assumes that changing ecological circumstances favored a shift in foraging strategies that gave rise to human genus. However, the hypothesis uses a demographic perspective on life-history variation that gives low adult mortality rates and remarkable longevity special importance.
