Molecular biology of pseudorabies virus: Impact on neurovirology and veterinary medicine
Article Abstract:
Reports regarding the molecular biology of psuedorabies virus (PRV), the use of laboratory animal models are reviewed to study viral pathogenesis, the use of PRV as a neuronal tracer, and the agricultural impact of PRV. PRV is a herpesvirus of swine, a member of the Alphaherpesvirianae subfamily, and the etiological agent of Aujeszky's disease.
