Molecular interactions between bacterial symbionts and their hosts
Article Abstract:
A number of studies on the heritable symbionts of insects yield valuable information about how bacteria infect host cells, avoid immune responses, and manipulate host physiology, using many of the same mechanisms as pathogens to infect hosts and evade immune responses. A discussion on the interactions between bacterial symbionts and their hosts is presented, focusing on organisms that invade the body cavity or the cytosol of host cells, rather than the surface or gut lumen.

Twenty years of the Alzheimer's disease amyloid hypothesis: A genetic perspective
Article Abstract:
A genetic perspective of the amyloid hypothesis based on the known and putative Alzheimer's disease genes is presented. The findings indicate the possibility of developing effective strategies, which are personalized as per ones genome and genetic risk factors for the purpose of treating and preventing Alzheimer's disease.
