Phylogeographic origin of Hokkaido house mice (Mus musculus) as indicated by genetic markers with maternal, paternal and biparental inheritance
Article Abstract:
Intraspecies genetic variation in house mice (Mus musculus molossinus) (MUS) is examined in order to obtain evidence of the history of mouse colonization that might have shaped the genetic diversity. Restriction site analysis of nuclear rDNA probe shoed a consistent distribution of MUS and castaneus types as major and minor components, respectively in the Hokkaido and Tohoku mice.

Genetic variation tracks ecological segregation in Pacific island black flies
Article Abstract:
The article reconstructs the molecular phylogeny of Simulium oviceps and Simulium dussertorum populations to measure genetic and morphological variation across their ranges. The feasibility of applying nested clade analysis to a system with a known but highly complex geological history is discussed.

Phylogeography and environmental diversification of a highly adaptable marine amphipod, Gammarus duebeni
Article Abstract:
The investigation of mitochondrial DNA sequence performed to study the genetic diversity and phylogeographic population structure in the highly adaptable marine gammarid amphipod, Gammarus duebeni, across its broad latitudinal distribution in the NE and NW Atlantic is illustrated.
