Effects of cultivation conditions on folate production by lactic acid bacteria
Article Abstract:
The authors have investigated lactic acid bacteria for their ability to produce folate extracellularly and intracellularly. The effects of growth conditions, pH, p-aminobenzoate and medium composition on folate biosynthesis and distribution in lactic acid bacteria have been studied, and the results are discussed.
