A genetic analysis of the 63E-64A genomic region of Drosophila melanogaster: identification of mutations in a replication factor C subunit
Article Abstract:
The lethal mutations in the 63E-64A genomic region of Drosophila melanagoster is identified by performing the F2 genetic screening. The screening process enables the isolation of 122 mutations in 20 different complementation groups sixteen of the 20 groups are represented only by the multiple alleles. The 63E-64A genomic domain at 64A10,11 contains the Rop and Ras 2 genes.

A genetic analysis of intersex, a gene regulating sexual differentiation in Drosophila melanogaster females
Article Abstract:
The genetic study of the intersex (IX) gene in Drosophila melanogaster reveals that the ix is a terminally positioned regulatory locus. The ix locus is localized to a cytogenic intervel located between the 47E3-6 and 47F11-18. This gene is responsible for the determination of sex in the Drosophila melanogaster.
