Rejuvenating exhausted T cells during chronic viral infection
Article Abstract:
The unregulation of the immunoreceptor programmed cell death 1(PD-1) by exhausted T cells during the chronic phase of viral infection in mice is discussed. T cells can be reactivated and the viral load can be reduced by blocking the interaction between programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) and its ligand PD-L1.

Instruction of distinct CD4 T helper cell fates by different Notch ligands on antigen-presenting cells
Article Abstract:
Immune responses to microbial encounters are tailored by Antigen-presenting cells (APC) to stimulate differentiation of CD4 T cells into the T helper1 (Th1) and T helper2 (Th2) lineages. The APC that uses the Notch pathway to instruct T cell differentiation is demonstrated.

The canonical Notch/RBP-J signaling pathway controls the balance of cell lineages in mammary epithelium during pregnancy
Article Abstract:
The operation of cell lineages' equilibrium in mammary epithelium at the time of gestation by the basic Notch/RBP-J signaling pathway is discussed.
