Directed evolution of Thermus maltogenic amylase toward enhanced thermal resistance
Article Abstract:
The authors discuss their study of Thermus sp. strain IM6501. They report the generation of thermostable maltogenic amylases from this strain via random mutagenesis, and the analysis of the factors associated with the enzyme's thermostability.

Evaluation of DNA extraction methods for use in combination with SYBR green I real-time PCR to detect Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis in poultry
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Salmonella enterica serotype Enteritidis. The authors describe the method for detecting this bacterium in poultry samples, and report that SYBR green I real-time PCR is an effective detection method.
