Survival of indicator and pathogenic bacteria in bovine feces on pasture
Article Abstract:
The survival of enteric bacteria is measured in bovine feces on pasture. The results have shown that although enterocci displayed the best survival rate, higher final counts have shown that Escherichia coli is the more practical indicator of bovine fecal population.

Evaluation of colilert-18 for detection of coliforms and Eschericha coli in subtropical freshwater
Article Abstract:
In a few countries, the coliform bacteria are recommended hygienic indicator organisms for water, raw as well as fresh. The accuracy of Colilert-18 as a test for coliforms and Escherichia coli in subtropical freshwater was evaluated and results were discussed.

Comparison of coliforms and coliphages as tools for assessment of viral contamination in river water
Article Abstract:
Evaluation of the presence of pathogenic viruses in the Moselle river is the main aim of this study. The comparison of the importance of thermotolerant coliforms and somatic coliphages for assessment of water quality is also explained.
