TRF1 is degraded by ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis after release from telomeres
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on DNA-binding protein TRF1 which is telomere length's negative regulator. The authors demonstrate that the loss of TRF1 from telomeres leads to degradation and ubiquitination of TRF1 by proteasome, and that the degradation is important for keeping TRF1 off telomeres.

Protein ISGylation modulates the JAK-STAT signaling pathway
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on protease removing ISG15 from ISGylated proteins. The authors demonstrate that the mice lacking this protease are hypersensitive to type I interferon.
