Article Abstract:
The dynamic interaction between viruses, oncogenes and normal cells are characterized by a basic three-step process that mediate viral replication and oncogenesis. Viral replication in normal cells is inhibited when the cell activates the immune system by displaying viral antigenic peptides on its MHC class I molecules which are usually inhibited by the virus. However, adenovirus-infected cells inhibit viral replication by undergoing apoptosis. Furthermore, normal cells exhibit defensive mechanisms that resist the effects of ras oncogenes and inhibit cellular tumorigenesis.

Viral dynamics in HIV-1 infection
Article Abstract:
HIV replication extends from prolonged asymptomatic phase between primary infection and the development of AIDS which can be observed from the plasma virus level in HIV infection. When an HIV patient undergoes an antiretroviral therapy, the level of plasma virus also undergoes dynamic changes. Such reaction of the plasma virus with the treatment process may provide valuable insights to further understand T cell depletion, drug failure and to determine possible means of eradicating the virus.

T cell responses and viral escape
Article Abstract:
The T lymphocyte cells respond to HIV infection but its strong responses are still insufficient to control the virus. Such failure of the T cells to contain the HIV can be partly attributed to HIV activity which shows that the virus primarily attacks the CD4+T helper cells that are responsible for the production of antigen. The virus also utilizes various immune escape strategies to avoid being contained by the T cells.
