The fission yeast SPB component Cut12 links bipolar spindle formation to mitotic control
Article Abstract:
Cut12 could be a regulator or substrate of the p34cdc2 mitotic kinase. Duplicated spindle pole bodies (SPB) nucleate during fission yeast mitosis to form the mitotic spindle. Cut12 is found in the SPB close to the nucleus throughout the cell cycle. The conjugation of Cut12 and its reaction are presented.

The spindle checkpoint requires cyclin-dependent kinase activity
Article Abstract:
The authors have investigated spindle checkpoint which prevents anaphase onset via restraining ubiquitin ligase anaphase-promoting complex activation. The results have demonstrated that spindle checkpoint requires mitotic cyclin-dependent kinase activity.
