The proteasome regulatory particle alters the SAGA coactivator to enhance its interactions with transcriptional activators
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to show that the 19S proteasome regulatory particle (19S RP) alters SAGA to stimulate its interaction with transcriptional activators. The results indicate that 19S RP modulates SAGA complex using its ATPase components, thereby facilitating subsequent transcription events at promoters.

CDK activity antagonizes Whi5, an inhibitor of G1/S transcription in yeast
Article Abstract:
The inhibition of G1/S transcription by cell size regulator Whi5 is relieved by cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK)-mediated phosphorylation. There is direct interaction between Whi5 and swi4/6 cell cycle box binding factor (SBF).
