Ultraconserved elements are associated with homeostatic control of splicing regulators by alternative splicing and nonsense-mediated decay
Article Abstract:
Splicing-sensitive microarrays are used to identify a group of alternative RNA isoforms that accumulate after inhibition of NMD (nonsense-mediated decay). A biologically relevant class of NMD-sensitive isoforms that arises by inclusion of highly conserved exons that contain stop codons are identified, which are critically required for homeostatic maintenance of splicing factor expression levels.

Evaluation of genetic variation contributing to differences in gene expression between populations
Article Abstract:
The impact of the genetic variations and the nongenetic factors on the differences found in the gene expression between different populations is investigated. The observed population differences in the gene expression are found to highly affect the susceptibility of the people to several common diseases as well.

Identification of genetic variants contributing to cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity by use of a genomewide approach
Article Abstract:
Genetic variants contributing to cisplatin-induced cytotoxicity is studied by use of a genomewide approach and concluded that the whole genome approach can be applied to uncover the genetic signatures contributing to a wide range of cellular phenotypes.
