A Case for Cases
Article Abstract:
The case study method is used in law, business, management study, and other academic disciplines. The case method fosters participation, thinking, and problem solving. The case writer must be knowledgeable, so that the case encourages thinking and skill-building, not just careful reading. The case that contains all the answers may give a false sense of 'treasure-hunt' problem-solving.
