Reverse diffusion in US multinationals: barriers from the American business system
Article Abstract:
A study on reverse diffusion or the transfer of business and employment practices by foreign subsidiaries to the parent multinational company based in United States is presented. The barriers present in American business system that control this reverse diffusion are also discussed.

A conceptual framework is presented to study relationships between firm capabilities and corporate diversification plans across countries with dissimilar resource environments. The framework draws from the resource-based and institutional economics theories.
