PeopleSoft Chmn David Duffield believes working hard and playing hard will continue to make his company profitable. The company introduced PeopleSoft 5 in early 1996 with bugs and training delays which caused problems with customer relations in Australia. The releases of PeopleSoft 6 and PeopleSoft 7 have met with greater reception in Australia. California-based PeopleSoft is known primarily for its human resources software but has expanded into manufacturing and financial software.

IT promises disappoint a trusting bank
Article Abstract:
Tasmania's Trust Bank is having trouble with its banking systems provider regarding their inability to live up to sales promises. The information technology provider failed to provide consumer credit code compliant software in the time it claimed it could. A main portion of the new technology is going towards a modernization of the banks' distribution network of electronic transactions.
