A share for the staff

A lot of big Australian companies have experimented with offering their employees a share in the company but results haven't been encouraging mainly because as it was seen as a token gesture with no real benefits. Medium sized companies face an altogether different problem in this case, as the staff and management always end up being at loggerheads with each other due to conflicting interests.

The performance of a company is increasingly determined by intangibles than tangible assets like cash, inventory, plant, equipment and land. The managers are now realizing that intangible assets like vision, knowledge, employee loyalty and brand are the key contributing factors to the success of an enterprise.
