A swerve into the slow lane
Article Abstract:
The possibility of slow down of the world economies in 2005 after the recent positive trends is discussed. Lowering of taxes and interest rates in US helped its housing sector, which in turn helped the revival of the economies after 2001, but the rising oil prices are likely to steer the economies back into recession. The effect of slower economic growth in China is also discussed.
