Young Conde Nast title develops muscle
Article Abstract:
Conde Nast Publications' Women's Sports & Fitness has made a dramatic comeback as it will announce a 37% increase in its advertising rate base. Starting next year, Conde Nast will guarantee advertisers a circulation of 650,000 for the magazine, up from the current 475,000. The title's circulation was 546,753 for the six months ended June 30, according to the Audit Bureau of Circulations. A equal jump in ad rates will follow this increase, as the publisher looks to take advantage of the way big advertisers are using the women's periodical market. The magazine currently charges $28,500 for a one-page color ad.
