The fear of the Australian operations regarding the merger of Axiss Australia with Invest Australia and the loss of Axiss's good work of providing back-office services to global banks is discussed. Axiss's discussion with Mellon Financial Corporation led to the opening of Mellon's Funds Management arm, Mellon Global Investment for business in Australia.
