Competitive strategy and flexible manufacturing: new dimensions in high-technology venture-based economic development
Article Abstract:
The location decision of firms in high-technology industries are dependent on overall corporate strategy. Manufacturing strategy, technology strategy and market strategy have significantly different infrastructure requirements at both the community and site-specific levels. Firms which have flexible manufacturing technologies seem to have very diverse spatial tendencies and are more likely to shift production between various facilities.

Teen Internet mavens: Influence in family decision making
Article Abstract:
The influence of rapid adoption and extensive use of the Internet by teens on altering the decision-making roles of family members based on their interest and expertise with Internet is studied. The teen Internet mavens are hypothesized to enjoy net surfing and to have greater relative influence in the family decision-making process than their nonmaven counterparts.
