Bankruptcy: A Refuge for all Reasons?
Article Abstract:
Since the United States Bankruptcy Code was revised, many companies chose bankruptcy as a means of solving their financial headaches. The use of the bankruptcy laws is examined. Examples of companies that have filed bankruptcy for various reasons are presented. The implications bankruptcy has on labor issues are examined. The problems bankruptcy causes a company are excessive and as a result companies do not rush into it without weighing the costs and benefits.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is being criticized for its regulatory action taken on chemical disclosure. The objections to this regulatory action by organized labor are examined. OSHA's reaction to these objections are presented.
