Does soil pH matter?
Article Abstract:
The pH factor in soil measures the amounts of hydrogen and hydroxyl ions. If both are the same, then the soil is neutral, or, neither too acid or too alkaline. This would be a pH of seven. The more hydrogen, the more acidity; the more hydroxyl, the more alkalinity. These determine growth factors.
