Article Abstract:

Untimely changes in state and federal laws relating to payroll are forcing many corporations to turn to outside payroll specialists to deal with the increasingly complex changes in payroll and payroll tax filing legislation. Corporate finance executives who wish to work with outside payroll firms should research and compare the appropriateness of services offered to see which fit the needs of their organization best. Differences in services that should be checked include the type of tax filing services offered, the availability of a local office, and the provision of work guarantees.

Article Abstract:

The 14th World Congress of Accountants shall be held in Washington, DC, in Oct 1992. The Congress, which is organized by the International Federation of Accountants, focuses on the changing roles of accountants in the emerging global economy of the 1990s. The four-day Congress, which shall be jointly hosted by the Institute of Internal Auditors, the American Institute of CPAs, and the Institute of Management Accountants, shall feature technical sessions on the impact of economic, socio-political and demographic trends on the field of management accounting.
