Implications of the eventual outcome of the takeover fight between Patrick Corporation and Toll Holdings for freight transportation industry in Asia-Pacific region are discussed. It may be recalled that Toll Holdings has made a hostile takeover bid for Patrick Corporation. A list of steps that will help Paul Little, chief executive of Toll to conclude the takeover is presented. A list of antitakeover steps that Chris Corrigan, chief executive of Patrick Corp. should take to thwart the takeover bid is also presented.
