Air transport industry
Article Abstract:
Airlines are continuing to do well in 1999 and profits are expected to be strong both in 1999 and the year 2000, although airline capacity is growing faster than air passenger traffic. Fares have become uncertain for airlines due to the disparity between capacity and traffic, but international traffic is also expected to grow in the future. These stocks are timely in 1999, but could remain volatile due to cyclical factors within the industry.
