CEO tenure in Taiwanese family and nonfamily firms: an agency theory perspective
Article Abstract:
A study on turnover of chief executive officers (CEOs) in family and nonfamily owned businesses in Taiwan is presented. The study reveals that the rate of turnover of CEOs is much lower in family-owned businesses. Based on the study, applicability of agency theory in the case of nonfamily firms is inferred.
