Canadian energy industry
Article Abstract:
Stocks in the Canadian energy industry have underperformed the market in 1998 and early 1999 due to poor cash flow and earnings, and this is expected to continue. The supply/demand equation for petroleum prices is still poor, and the forecast for natural gas is mixed, but this could change for the better in the future. These stocks are not timely for 1999, but many have potential for the next three to five years.

Article Abstract:
Stocks in the Canadian energy sector have risen in the 4th qtr of the year 2000, but some investors are wondering if oil prices can be sustained.
