Cement & aggregates
Article Abstract:
Demand for cement in the domestic US market has been strong during the 1990s, and tariff laws have been able to protect the domestic supply of cement from foreign competition. Cement demand is also expected to remain high with growth in construction activity, and environmental and economic factors will limit the capacity for cement production. These stocks are timely for investors in 1998, but risky due to industry cycles.
