Change Can Work for You
Article Abstract:
Business strategies are changing continually, and the company which can incorporate emerging changes into their own business strategies can greatly increase their chances to be successful. Some examples of successful businesses created from responding to changes include: Sears-which built its empire of chain stores by responding to changes in buying habits away from mail order catalogs, and McDonalds-which built its chain of restaurants by responding to changes in American's eating habits. A magazine called the London Economist has been predicting changes for years. Some of the things it sees for business in the next few decades include: the end of the age of giant corporations, accompanied by an era of subcontractors and licensees; the privatization of many services now performed by the government; and the ability of small firms to advertise and sell new products while they are still on the drawing board through such means as videotex services which show products to potential customers through thier home computers. Change is occurring more rapidly than ever before, and the company which positions itself to react to the changing business environment will be the company which succeeds.

Great Business Ideas That Work
Article Abstract:
Entrepreneurs often dream of finding a market niche, where there are lots of eager customers and few competitors. This has happened for many people, and with all the new opportunities available due to the many changes in technology, demographics, government regulation and the American lifestyle it will continue to occur. The range of an individual's imagination is the only limit to founding a great new business. Many types of successful entrepreneurial efforts are described, including a newsletter which covers the course of the litigation surrounding the seizure of American assets by the Iranian government and a seminar which capitalizes on the loneliness epidemic by offering advice on how to find a mate. After finding a market niche, expansion can help increase sales, but anyone stuck in an unsuccessful market niche needs to be careful not to remain stuck, and to get out if things are not going well.
