Clinton retains stiff crack penalties
Article Abstract:
A bill that maintains tough penalties for the possession and sale of crack cocaine was signed by Pres Clinton on Oct 30, 1995. The bill was denounced by civil rights and African American activists because it allows much harsher sentences for crack than powdered cocaine.
