Taking stock of family-owned firms
Article Abstract:
A study of the Family Business Stock Index shows that over 20 years, family firms outperformed the Standard & Poor's 500, returning an average of 16.6% a year. Another study of the Loyola Univ of Chicago Family Firm Stock Index showed similar results.
