The essence of empowerment: a conceptual model and a case illustration
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze employee empowerment from different perspectives and characterizes a conceptual framework that delineates elements of empowerment in an organizational setting. Four dimensions of empowerment were determined, including empowering leaders, empowering culture, empowering management practices and empowered employees. Results indicated that empowerment can be successfully realized if it is carefully planned and practised persistently.

Privatisation and the human factor
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze changes in the internal environment of firms resulting from privatization. Several research questions on privatization-related changes were considered. These queries correlated with organizational goals, strategies, structures, and human resource management practices. Results indicated that time supports a critical function in the change process because of people's expectations about their future in the organization.
