The Year 2000 transition passed throughout the world and the US without any major problems, and very few minor ones, due mainly to efforts to avert problems. Spending for products of the compute and computer peripherals industry is also likely to increase as business will need to update their systems and speed the information flow. These stocks are timely for the year 2000 and investors will also find that many have growth potential for the next three to five years.
