Consumer Confidence Index falls in June

The Conference Board announced Jun 29, 1993, that the Jun 1993 Consumer Confidence Index had fallen to 58.9. The Jun level was three points lower than the May figure, and it reached the lowest point since Oct 1992. The most recent high point occurred in Oct 1992 at 78.3.

Fed reports slower growth
Article Abstract:
The Federal Reserve Board reported that the US economy continued to grow from late Oct through Nov 1995 but at a slower pace than in recent periods. Also included is analysis of other economic indicators such as durable goods orders, agricultural prices and others.

Fed reports modest improvement

The 'beige book' report issued by the Federal Reserve Board has found that the US economy is making a modest recovery, but employment is still sluggish. The report was conducted in Mar and Apr 1993 by the 12 regional Federal Reserve banks.
