The circus of '68
Article Abstract:
Rock group the Rolling Stones made a film which was to be shown on television at Christmas 1968, entitled 'The Rolling Stones Rock 'n' Roll Circus.' It was never shown, apparently because Mick Jagger felt that it showed the group as being inferior to The Who. It was put together over two weeks, and filmed over 48 hours, being directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg. It is now being made available to the public in the form of a video which is to be released in early Nov 1996 on Abkco Polygram.
