Dangerous curves ahead
Article Abstract:
Rising input costs, interest rates and southbound economy are likely to make a big dent in corporate profits this year. To add to woes, the return on investments will now be compared with the rising interest rates and therefore the growth will not be as impressive as it was in a period not so long ago. Globalization has brought in the advantages of cheap labor but the countries with high wages will essentially lose out in the competition. The implications of all these factors on stock markets are discussed.
