Deep trouble for gas stations

New regulations issued by the Environmental Protection Agency are expected to result in the closure of 53% of the rural gas stations and 25% of the stations nationwide. The regulations will require the upgrading of many under-ground storage tank systems, an expense many gas station owners cannot afford.

Look for a more pragmatic Congress
Article Abstract:
Republicans will be less ideological and more practical in the 105th Congress. Legislation is likely on the federal budget, tax cuts, labor regulations and trade issues. Reform of environmental regulations with be incremental rather than comprehensive.
