Depreciation policies in regulated companies: which policies are the most efficient?
Article Abstract:
The depreciation accounting policies of regulated companies are examined. Results indicate that the decision to purchase new equipment frequently or to maintain old equipment can be based on depreciation policies for some regulated companies. A group of depreciation rules are identified which help to prevent uneconomical replacement or repair decisions by management.

Inspection for circuit board assembly
Article Abstract:
The repeated tests performed during the inspection of a circuit board are expensive. A model is presented that reduces the number of tests while still maintaining optimum quality.
