Diesel-LPG conversion may clean up worldwide
Article Abstract:
Ecotrans invented an engine which runs on liquefied petroleum gas and works in diesel vehicles. The engine creates much less pollution than traditional diesel units, far below international environmental standards in 1998. If tests of the engine remain encouraging, it will be implemented in bus fleets in Brisbane and Melbourne. Ecotrans' development was supported by the Gogas division of Shell and by the National Bus Company of Australia.
