Downsizing, rightsizing or dumbsizing? Quality, human resources and the management of sustainability
Article Abstract:
A shift in emphasis away from human management to resource management with the argument that organizations need to allow the needs and aspirations of individuals to be place at the heart of the workplace is described. This does not fit with the knowledge of the quality of the contemporary workplace where downsizing 'anorexic organization'.

Quality management in the logistics industry: an examination and a ten-step approach for quality implementation
Article Abstract:
The factors that encourage firms in Hong Kong's logistics industry to implement quality management systems (QMSs) are examined to ensure quality in their work processes. A generic ten-step approach for QMS implementation is introduced, and the cost and service advantages achieved in the case firm is discussed.
